Potencijalni aerodrom na Željavi: U Krajini je nebo granica

When it comes to significant projects that are expected to transform the Krajina region, the focus is primarily on the Public Enterprise Airport, as well as the potential of the Željava airport, which is the largest of its kind in Europe. The Public Enterprise Airport project in Bihać, which the City Administration continues to develop with the regular support of the Federation Government budget, could potentially expand. There are indications that the new government at the Federation level may be able to do better than the previous one led by the SDA. They have received support from Kemal Ademović, the Deputy Chairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kemal Hrnjić, the Minister of Agriculture, Water Management, and Forestry of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. During their official visit to the city of Bihać, they met with Mayor Elvedin Sedić and his associates to discuss the Bihać Airport, the Una National Park, and road infrastructure. Ademović promised full support for the continuation of these important projects and emphasized the need for more attention to be paid to their implementation at the federal level. The delegation also visited the Golubić airport and expressed enthusiasm for the new approach and the potential of the Željava airport. The intention is to potentially expand the Bihać airport project to include the potential offered by Željava. However, this idea is not openly discussed for two reasons. Firstly, proponents of this idea would be immediately criticized for confusing the existing Bihać Airport project, which has been receiving significant funds from the Federation Government for several years, leading to accusations of wasteful spending in the wrong location. Secondly, many intelligent residents of Bihać have been advocating for Željava as the future airport from the beginning, so it would be difficult to admit that they were right. Nevertheless, there is potential for both projects to be integrated under the Bihać Airport company. Golubić should be completed as planned, but the potential of Željava should also be considered, as it can accommodate larger planes with less investment. It would also serve as a backup option for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and its underground airport has the potential to become a tourist destination. The Krajina region has been neglected in terms of investment from the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and therefore every project in the region should be pushed forward until its realization. The Krajina region, rich in greenery and rivers, has great potential for development and success once investments start pouring in. The poverty and neglect of the region may not be immediately apparent through the statistics of resource distribution, but the transformation and prosperity it can achieve are limitless.
